How long does it take to get into rem sleep?

I've been tracking my sleep using an app, and it shows I spend very little time in REM sleep. I'm trying to understand sleep cycles better, so I want to know, how long does it usually take to get into REM sleep once you've fallen asleep?

Haan na, sleep cycle is so complicated to understand! Usually, it takes about 90 minutes after falling asleep to reach REM sleep where we start dreaming. It is quite fascinating how our brain works.

I've been wearing a fitness tracker for a year now. The first REM cycle always kicks in after about 1.5 hours of sleeping. It gets longer in the second half of the night, especially early morning.

I used to track my sleep and panic when my app showed very low REM sleep. But I realized the first REM cycle is very short, only about 10 minutes, and happens around 90 minutes into sleep. It is completely normal, so don't stress over the charts.

It actually takes like 90 minutes to hit REM sleep, yaar. If you wake up constantly in the middle of the night, your body might miss out on these deeper cycles. Try to sleep without interruptions.

At my age, I am just happy if I fall asleep without my back hurting! But yes, science says REM sleep takes about 90 minutes to arrive. Though for me, any uninterrupted sleep is a luxury now.

Beta, the deep dreaming sleep comes after about one and a half hours of sleeping. Don't worry too much about these technical terms, just wash your face with cool water and sleep on time.

Your first REM stage starts around 90 minutes after you fall asleep. Doing some daily walking or light exercise in the evening helps improve the overall quality of these sleep cycles, as long as your doctor is okay with it.

I was just reading an article about sleep cycles today. Apparently, we go through light sleep and deep sleep first, and then hit REM sleep after roughly 90 minutes. It repeats every hour and a half!

In our times, we didn't have these fancy trackers to tell us about REM sleep. The body takes about an hour and a half to get into dream sleep. Just sleep with a calm mind, that is the best remedy.

God has designed our body beautifully, and sleep has its own natural rhythm. It takes about 90 minutes to reach the dreaming stage. Drinking a warm cup of chamomile tea before sleeping can help settle the nerves for a peaceful night.
