How long does it take to fix sleep schedule?

My sleep schedule is completely messed up these days because of late-night work. I really need to get it back on track, but I’m curious, how long does it typically take to fix a broken sleep schedule and get back to normal?

It usually takes about one to two weeks of consistent effort to reset your body clock. Try lifting weights or doing some heavy cardio in the evening, and avoid heavy carbs right before sleeping. It really speeds up the process.

I used to panic when I couldn't fall asleep till 3 AM and thought I had chronic insomnia. But once I started waking up at the exact same time every morning, my body adjusted in about 10 days. Don't stress, your body will find its rhythm soon.

Lying awake for hours feeling frustrated is so exhausting and mentally draining. It took me almost three weeks of crying and struggling before my sleep finally became regular. Please be gentle with yourself, it doesn't happen overnight.

Give yourself at least two weeks, beta. Our bodies take time to adjust to new routines. Try to keep your phone away an hour before bed and drink a glass of warm milk, it works wonders for calming the mind.

I went to a specialist at Max Hospital when my sleep schedule was completely ruined due to night shifts. They told me it takes about 10 to 14 days of strict sleep hygiene to reset. If it doesn't improve after a few weeks, definitely consult a doctor.
