How long does it take to fill 3 cavities?

My dentist told me I need to get three cavities filled. I'm trying to plan my schedule, so I wanted to ask, roughly how long does it take for a dentist to fill three cavities in one sitting?

Usually, a dentist will take about 45 to 60 minutes to do three fillings if they are simple ones. Sometimes they might suggest doing it in two sittings to make it comfortable for you. Talk to your doc and see what works best for your schedule.

It will probably take around an hour or so, dear. Don't worry too much about it, dentists are very gentle these days. Just listen to some music during the procedure to keep your mind relaxed.

Plan for at least 1 to 1.5 hours in the dental chair. If the cavities are on different sides of your mouth, the dentist might prefer doing them in two separate appointments so your whole mouth isn't numb. Better to ask them upfront about the sitting plan.

My dentist did three of my molar fillings in a single sitting and it took around 50 minutes. The injection took some time to work, but after that, I didn't feel any pain. Every dental case is different though, so your doctor will give the exact plan.

I have had multiple fillings over the years. Three cavities can easily be done in about an hour if they are on the same side. Just make sure to eat a good meal before you go because you won't be able to chew properly for a few hours afterwards.

Getting three fillings done takes about an hour, but don't rush the doctor. If they are deep, it might take slightly longer for the base layer. Just request the dentist to explain the steps beforehand so you feel in control.
