How long does it take to develop type 2 diabetes?

My mother has Type 2 diabetes and my doctor said I'm at high risk. I'm trying to improve my lifestyle now, but I'm curious, for someone who is pre-diabetic, how long does it generally take for type 2 diabetes to develop?

I agree, it's definitely a slow process that takes several years, so caught early it can easily be managed with a walk after dinner.

It takes many years of slow changes in the body to develop Type 2 diabetes! The good news is we have plenty of time to reverse prediabetes with a happy, active lifestyle 🌟 Just start with small daily habits!

Type 2 diabetes is basically years of progressive insulin resistance from low activity and surplus calories. It takes a long time to develop, meaning you have a big window to stop it. Focus on lifting weights or doing basic cardio, and eat more protein and fiber.

This disease takes almost 5 to 10 years of slow build-up to show symptoms. Taking herbal helps like methi dana water daily is good for prevention, but if your sugar is already very high, please consult a proper doctor immediately.

Beta, sugar ki bimari dheere dheere, kai saalon mein shareer mein aati hai. Humare yahan bade bolte hain ki agar hum roz thoda paidal chalein aur mithaai par kabu rakhein toh isse bacha ja sakta hai. Apna dhyan rakho.
