How long does it take to detoxify the liver?

My doctor mentioned my liver health could be better due to some lifestyle choices. I want to make some changes, but I'm wondering, realistically, how long does it take for the liver to detoxify and improve its function?

I was so scared when my liver enzymes were high last year, honestly I thought something major was wrong. But my doctor smiled and told me the liver is super resilient. Within just 4 to 6 weeks of stopping alcohol and oily food, my repeat test came back perfectly normal, so relax!

Beta, the body has its own pace to heal and clean itself, usually taking a couple of months. We must support it by taking simple things like lukewarm water with fresh lemon or some warm amla juice in the morning. But don't try any heavy herbal concoctions without asking your family doctor first.

Please be very careful with online detox recipes. I tried some extreme herbal detox juices on my own and ended up with severe gastritis and worsened liver values. If you suspect liver issues, please get an ultrasound and a proper LFT done under a physician's guidance instead of self-treating.

I completely understand how stressful this is, because I used to stay up late reading horrible things online about liver damage. But please don't let the anxiety take over. The liver is incredible at self-healing and usually shows great recovery in 4-8 weeks once you start eating simple, low-fat home meals.

In my experience, gentle Kapalbhati and daily Pranayama help immensely with internal circulation and digestion, supporting the liver's natural detox process. Give your body at least 30 to 45 days of disciplined lifestyle, light satvik meals, and deep breathing. You will surely feel the lightness and energy coming back.
