How long does it take to cook liver?

My husband loves liver fry, but I'm always worried about cooking it properly. I never want to undercook it. So, how long does it generally take to cook liver thoroughly and safely?

Usually, liver cooks very quickly, in about 8 to 10 minutes on medium heat. My mother always advised not to overcook it, otherwise it becomes very hard and rubbery. Just cook it until it changes color and is tender.

If you are pan-searing liver, it takes barely 3-4 minutes per side. For a proper Indian curry, you should sauté the masala first, then add the liver and cook for not more than 10 minutes. Overcooking is the biggest mistake people make.

I totally get it, cooking liver for the first time can be tricky because you worry if it's raw or overdone. It usually takes just 10 minutes in a pan. If you cut it into small, thin pieces, it cooks faster and stays nice and soft.

Liver cooks in about 8 to 10 minutes. From a nutrition perspective, it is a great source of iron and B12, but make sure you wash it thoroughly and cook it completely to avoid any foodborne infections.

It takes around 10 minutes to cook. Since I manage my diabetes carefully, I cook liver with very little oil and avoid heavy starchy gravies. It is a good high-protein option that doesn't spike blood sugar levels.

Bhaiya, do not cook liver for too long, only 10 minutes is enough. If you keep it on the stove for a long time, it will become very tough and dry. Just add some ginger-garlic and cook it on low flame.

It takes about 8 minutes in a hot pan. I log my meals on my health tracker, and liver is an absolute powerhouse for micronutrients. Just cook it light with some onions and black pepper for a healthy, high-protein meal.
