How long does it take pain reliever to work?

I woke up with a bad headache today and took a regular pain reliever. I'm waiting for it to kick in so I can start my day. How long does it usually take for pain relievers to start working and ease the discomfort?

For me, it usually takes around 45 minutes to feel any relief. Is it normal for some painkillers to take even longer? I was a bit worried when my headache didn't go away in half an hour.

Honestly, it takes a solid 40 minutes for me. I usually take a basic crocin for headaches and just lie down in a dark room. Don't keep checking if the pain is gone, just let it work.

Haan na, it easily takes 30 to 45 minutes to show any effect. Sometimes we expect instant relief, but the body takes its own time to absorb the medicine. Just rest for a bit after taking it.

Agreed, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Make sure to drink plenty of water with it to help digestion.

In my experience, standard paracetamol takes around 40 minutes to kick in for my back pain. I've noticed that drinking a glass of warm water with it helps it absorb a bit faster, but that's just what works for me.

Normal oral tablets take about 30 to 60 minutes to work. Since I have diabetes, I always make sure to consult my doctor before taking random painkillers, as some can affect kidney function over time. Also, never take them on an empty stomach.

Over the years, I have seen that most painkillers take about half an hour to an hour to ease the pain. There is no need to panic if the pain doesn't stop immediately. Give the medicine some time, keep your mind calm, and let it heal you.

Most pain relievers start working in 30 to 60 minutes. However, please be careful about popping these pills frequently. I ended up with severe stomach ulcers because I was taking painkillers without a doctor's advice, so please get a proper checkup.
