How long does it take for liver enzymes to decrease?

I had some abnormal liver enzyme results in my last check-up, and the doctor gave me some lifestyle recommendations. I'm doing my best to follow them, but I'm curious how long it typically takes for liver enzyme levels to come down to normal. Will it take weeks or months?

My SGOT and SGPT levels were high last year. After eating simple home-cooked food and avoiding oily dishes, they came back to normal in about 4 weeks.

With my bad sleep schedule, my liver was complaining too. It takes a solid 2 to 4 weeks of clean living and actually sleeping on time to see those numbers drop.

Avoid heavy ghee and outside sweets for a few weeks. Drinking warm water with bottle gourd juice in the morning is traditionally believed to soothe the liver within a month.

Expect a minimum of 3 to 6 weeks. Cut out alcohol entirely and get re-tested after a month to track your progress accurately.

My liver enzymes jumped due to high weight and blood pressure. Daily walks and a strict diet brought my levels down in about 6 weeks, so keep checking.
