How long does it take for dandruff to go away?

I've been struggling with dandruff for quite some time now, and no matter what shampoo I use, it just keeps coming back. I'm wondering, if I use a proper anti-dandruff treatment consistently, how long does it usually take for dandruff to completely go away?

Haan na, dandruff is so annoying and stubborn! If you use a good anti-dandruff shampoo twice a week, it usually starts clearing up in 2 to 3 weeks.

Be patient! A good routine takes about a month to show real results, so don't lose hope if it doesn't vanish in one wash.

I ignored my itchy scalp for months thinking it was just dry skin, and it turned into a severe fungal infection. Please get a proper doctor's opinion if regular shampoos don't work in 2 weeks.

In our time, we used to apply a little curd or diluted lemon juice on the scalp before washing. It takes a few weeks of regular care, so do not use harsh chemicals on your head.

Fungal skin issues like dandruff can take longer to heal if blood sugar is high. Managing my diet properly really helped clear my scalp issues within a month.

It actually takes around 2 weeks of proper shampooing, yaar. Don't oil your hair too much thinking it will solve dryness, it actually makes the dandruff worse.

I went to a dermatologist at a proper hospital, and they gave me a specific lotion. It is much better to ask your doctor clearly rather than trying ten different random shampoos.

My teenage son had a very bad dandruff issue recently. We used a ketoconazole shampoo prescribed by his doctor twice a week, and his scalp cleared up nicely in about 4 weeks.

Dandruff can sometimes be confused with scalp psoriasis or eczema. If you don't see any improvement after 3 weeks of home care, it is safer to let a dermatologist check it.

Along with anti-dandruff shampoos, look at what you eat. Cutting down on extra sugar and eating green veggies helps reduce scalp oiliness, which usually improves things in 3-4 weeks.
