With my stomach, IBS pain can last anywhere from a few hours of pure regret to a few days of questioning my life choices. Usually, a bad flare-up settles in 2 to 3 days if I behave and eat simple food. Ah, the joys of a middle-aged digestive system!

The pain usually lasts for a few hours after eating, but a full flare-up can go on for days. Instead of spending thousands on repeated blood tests and fancy scans, keep a simple food diary to see what triggers it. It is a much cheaper and more practical way to manage it.

Honestly, my IBS cramps usually last for 2-3 hours after a bad meal, but the bloating can stay the whole weekend. I just cut out spicy food and dairy when it gets bad. It is annoying but you learn to live with it.

Don't fall for random online cures claiming to stop IBS pain in minutes. The duration varies wildly from person to person—some feel it for hours, others for weeks. Get a proper diagnosis from a gastroenterologist to understand your specific pattern.

I totally get how frustrating IBS pain is! For me, the sharp cramps usually last for about an hour after eating, but the overall discomfort can linger for a few days. Drinking warm peppermint tea really helps me soothe the stomach during these times.

I ignored my stomach pain for months thinking it was just normal gas, and I really regret not getting checked earlier. IBS pain can become chronic if left unmanaged. Please visit a doctor and get properly tested to rule out other issues.

My mother always tells me to drink buttermilk with hing to calm my stomach, but when my IBS pain lasted for days, I visited a specialist. The doctor explained that flare-ups can last from a few days to weeks. Do follow professional advice rather than just self-treating.
