How long does hepatitis b vaccine last in adults?

I got my Hepatitis B vaccination series completed many years ago, when I was in college. Now, after hearing about some cases, I'm thinking if I need a booster. How long does the Hepatitis B vaccine last in adults, generally?

Actually, once you complete all three doses, it lasts for at least 20 to 30 years, yaar. You don't need to get it again and again. Just make sure you didn't miss the third dose back then.

The vaccine provides long-term protection, typically for at least 20 years in adults. Just like you do regular follow-ups for thyroid or other chronic health issues, you can get a simple blood test done to check your antibody levels if you are in doubt.

According to the literature and my family physician, the Hepatitis B vaccine series induces long-term immunological memory that persists for over 30 years in healthy adults. Even if antibody levels decline over time, the body remains protected.

For healthy adults, the standard three-dose Hepatitis B vaccine series offers robust protection that lasts for at least 20 years, and often a lifetime. If you are in a high-risk profession, consulting your doctor for a quick titer test is the best way to verify your immunity status.

My doc told me it pretty much lasts for life once you finish the three shots. So we don't have to worry about getting boosters every few years. Pretty cool, honestly.
