How long does hepatitis b last?

My neighbour's son was diagnosed with Hepatitis B a few months back. We've been trying to educate ourselves about it to be supportive. How long does hepatitis B last in a person, especially if it becomes chronic?

An acute Hepatitis B infection usually clears up in 1 to 3 months, but if it becomes chronic, it can unfortunately be a lifelong condition. I constantly worry about these things, so please get a proper medical test to see where you stand and ease your mind.

For most adults, the acute phase goes away in a couple of months. However, managing chronic Hepatitis B requires regular checkups and a healthy lifestyle, similar to how I manage my high blood pressure. Don't ignore routine blood tests.

Acute cases resolve within 2 to 6 months, while chronic cases require long-term management. I highly recommend visiting a gastroenterologist or hepatologist at a reputed hospital and asking them clearly about the treatment protocol.

Most adults clear the virus in a few months, but if it becomes chronic, it needs constant monitoring. Just like I get my thyroid tests done every few months, you must do regular liver function tests and keep your doctor updated.

According to hepatologists, over 90% of healthy adults recover from acute Hepatitis B within 6 months and develop immunity. However, if the virus persists beyond 6 months, it is classified as chronic and requires antiviral therapy.

Acute cases take about 2 to 6 months to resolve, but don't try to self-manage this if you have a busy routine. Schedule an appointment with a specialist immediately to monitor your viral levels and plan your work leave accordingly.

Usually, the short-term infection clears in about 6 months, but you have to stay away from oily parathas and heavy food to let your liver recover. Focus on light meals and stay hydrated!

My brother had acute Hepatitis B, and it took almost 5 months for his liver enzymes to return to normal. The key is strict bed rest, zero alcohol, and monthly blood checkups to track the recovery progress.

Most acute cases resolve in under 6 months, but if it goes undetected, it can cause severe liver damage. I once ignored minor fatigue and suffered later, so please get your blood work done immediately to verify your status.

Don't listen to people online claiming some herbal juice cures Hepatitis B in days. Acute infections can last up to 6 months and chronic ones are long-term; only a qualified doctor can guide you through proper viral load tests.
