How long does heel pain last?

I've been having this nagging heel pain for a few weeks now, especially in the mornings. It's making it difficult to walk properly. I want to know, how long does heel pain usually last, and when should I be really concerned?

If it is plantar fasciitis, heel pain can easily last for a few weeks to several months depending on how you treat it. I had to stop heavy running and focus on gentle calf stretches and wearing supportive shoes. Check with a physio before restarting any high-impact exercises.

I know how stressful it is when you wake up and can't even walk to the bathroom properly; it really ruins your mood. Heel pain can unfortunately linger for months if ignored. Please rest your feet and don't panic, it does heal with proper rest and footwear.

Actually, heel pain is very stubborn, yaar. Mine lasted for almost three months because I kept walking around in flat sandals. Once I switched to soft orthotic slippers at home, it finally started getting better.

For mild pain, rolling your foot over a cold water bottle for 10 minutes daily gives great relief within a week. But if the pain is so severe that you cannot put your foot down in the morning, please see an orthopedic doctor instead of waiting.

I suffered from severe heel pain for six months. The only things that worked were wearing silicon heel cups inside my shoes and doing daily morning stretches before stepping out of bed. Don't walk barefoot on hard tiled floors at all.
