How long does fever last after mmr vaccine?

My little one just got her MMR vaccine, and she has a bit of a fever now. I'm a first-time mom, so I'm a little anxious. How long does fever usually last after the MMR vaccine?

Usually, the fever starts around 5 to 12 days after the shot and lasts for about 1 to 2 days. It's a delayed response, which can catch you off guard, so just plan your work schedule accordingly to be home for the baby.

Haan, the fever can come even a week after the vaccine, which is totally normal. It usually stays for only 24 to 48 hours na. Just give the paracetamol dose your pediatrician prescribed and keep the baby comfortable.

The post-vaccine fever generally resolves within 24 to 48 hours. Since children's medical bills and vaccine packages can add up, I always keep a bottle of prescribed baby paracetamol ready at home so we don't have to make urgent pharmacy runs.

Actually yaar, my kid got a mild fever almost 8 days after the MMR vaccine, and it lasted for about 2 days. It is just the body building immunity. No need to worry, but keep checking the temperature with a thermometer.

A mild fever is common for 1 to 2 days after the injection. You can gently wipe the baby's forehead with a damp cotton cloth of room temperature water to cool them down. If the fever goes very high or they look very dull, consult your doctor immediately.

Don't worry too much! The mild fever usually lasts only for 1 or 2 days and goes away easily. Just give them lots of cuddles and keep them hydrated. It's a sign the vaccine is doing its job successfully!

An MMR vaccine-induced fever typically manifests 7 to 12 days post-vaccination and subsides within 48 hours. If the temperature exceeds 102 degrees Fahrenheit or persists beyond 3 days, please consult your pediatrician for a proper evaluation.
