How long does eczema take to clear up?

I've had eczema on my arms for quite some time, and it gets really dry and itchy. I'm using the prescribed lotion, but it feels like it's taking forever to get better. Roughly how long does eczema take to clear up completely?

Honestly, I used to worry that my eczema patches would never heal and stay red forever. But realistically, with regular moisturizing and the doctor's ointment, the active red spots start clearing up in about 10 to 14 days. Just stick to the routine and don't panic.

Hey, don't stress too much about those patches! It takes around 2 weeks of good moisturizing for the redness to fade away. Just keep your skin hydrated, wear loose cotton clothes, and you'll see it clear up soon.

It usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks for the skin barrier to heal and look normal again. Along with topical creams, I found that avoiding spicy foods and dairy during a flare-up really helped my skin calm down much faster.

My 6-year-old daughter gets these dry itchy patches on her elbows every winter. It usually takes about 2 weeks to clear up completely when we apply her cream twice a day. Keep their nails trimmed short so they don't scratch and cause an infection.

Haan, it takes at least 15-20 days to clear up fully, so you have to be patient. Just don't scratch the dry skin na, otherwise it will leave marks and take double the time to heal. Keep applying a thick unscented lotion.

I totally get it, dealing with constant dry, itchy skin is so frustrating and tiring. Typically, you will see the skin smoothing out in 2 to 3 weeks of proper care. Just take it easy, use mild baby soaps, and give your skin some time to heal.

I totally panicked the first time my hands flared up with red dry patches, thinking it was a major skin disease. But my dermatologist reassured me it's just basic eczema and it cleared up beautifully in 10 days once I started the daily moisturizing routine.
