I was reading about this because my uncle has it, and most medical sites say acute pain should start getting better within 2 to 3 days of starting antibiotics. But complete healing inside can take a few weeks. Hope you feel better soon.

For me, the sharp stomach pain took about 4 to 5 days to settle down with proper medicines. Along with this, I had to monitor my blood pressure closely because pain always shoots it up. Regular doctor visits and a simple lifestyle are very important.

Typically, the pain starts reducing in 72 hours if you are on the right plan. I use a symptom tracker app to log my pain levels and daily bowel movements, which really helped my gastroenterologist adjust my treatment. Try keeping a simple digital log.

Honestly, I got so scared the first time because the left-side pain was so bad, I thought it was something major. But once the doctor started the liquid diet and meds, it got much better in 3 days. Don't panic, just follow the liquid food routine they give.

Don't stress, it usually starts easing up in 3 to 4 days with proper rest and fluids. Just make sure you are resting well and not lifting anything heavy right now. Take your medicines on time, and call your doctor if the pain suddenly worsens.

I made the mistake of ignoring that lower-left stomach pain thinking it was simple gas, and ended up in the hospital with a severe infection. It took me almost two weeks to recover. Please get it checked by a specialist early before it gets complicated.

Don't go by what people write online for diverticulitis, because everyone's gut is different. Some feel okay in 2 days, for others, it takes 10 days. If your pain is severe or you get a fever, go straight to a clinic and get a proper scan done.

The acute phase of pain usually lasts for 3 to 7 days depending on how inflamed it is. During this time, my doctor put me on a strict clear liquid diet to give the bowel some rest. Only introduce light khichdi and fiber slowly after the pain completely stops.
