How long does covid fever last in kids?

My son, who is five years old, caught COVID and now has a fever. It's really concerning to see him unwell. For kids, how long does a COVID fever generally last? Just want to know what to expect.

In most children, the Covid fever resolves in about 2 to 3 days. Just keep them comfortable and hydrated. Sending warm wishes for your little one's speedy recovery.

According to our pediatrician, Covid-19 fever in kids is typically short-lived, lasting between 48 to 72 hours. He advised us to focus on keeping the child hydrated and using child-safe paracetamol dosage based strictly on weight. If the fever extends past 4 days, a clinical evaluation is necessary.

My son had it last year and the fever came down in exactly 3 days. We did normal sponge bathing with lukewarm water to keep the temperature down and gave him light food like moong dal khichdi. Don't panic, just keep a regular log of their temperature.

Actually, in kids, Covid fever goes away pretty fast, yaar. For my nephew, it was there for just 2 days and then he was back to playing. Just keep giving them fluids and don't stress too much, they bounce back quickly.

For kids, the fever usually subsides in 2 or 3 days. I usually give them a spoonful of fresh tulsi juice with a little honey to soothe their throat, but if the child is very lethargic or the fever is not coming down with medicine, please see a doctor immediately.

Look, standard timeline is 48 to 72 hours max. Don't crowd the kid with too many medicines or home remedies all at once. Give them paracetamol as advised by your doctor, keep them hydrated with coconut water, and let their body do the rest.

Don't worry too much! In most kids, the fever lasts just 2 to 3 days and they recover super fast! 🌟 Just keep feeding them their favorite light soups and make sure they get lots of rest. Sending healthy vibes to your little champ! 💕

Please don't go by what people say online about how many days it lasts. While 3 days is common, every child's body reacts differently to viral loads. Verify the correct fever medicine dosage directly with your pediatrician instead of trying random home remedies.

My 5-year-old just recovered from Covid last week. The fever lasted for exactly 2 days, though he had a mild cough for another 4 days. We just kept him isolated, played some board games to keep him cheerful, and gave him warm fluids.

I panicked so much when my daughter's temperature hit 102 during Covid, I was literally crying. But the doctor reassured me, and the fever completely disappeared by the third day. Kids have great immunity and recover much faster than we think.

Kids get so weak during these 2-3 days of fever, ho na. It is very hard to watch them like that. But don't worry, the fever goes away quickly. Just give them coconut water and stay in touch with your doctor.

While most kids get better in 3 days, my daughter's fever kept bouncing back for a week and she became severely dehydrated. Please be very cautious. If you notice rapid breathing, extreme sleepiness, or blue lips, take them to the emergency room immediately.

Plan for at least 3 to 4 days of round-the-clock care, as the fever usually peaks in the first 48 hours. I had to take a couple of days off work to manage the medication schedule. Keep a simple Excel sheet or note on your phone to track their temperature and dosage times.

The fever itself lasted 3 days for my toddler, but my sleep schedule is still ruined a week later. They bounce back and start running around while you are left looking like a zombie. Just hang in there, keep them hydrated, and drink lots of coffee yourself.

In our experience, children's fever from this virus usually runs its course in 3 days. Along with the doctor's medicine, we give them light barley water or thin dal shorba to keep their stomach cool. Keep the room airy and do not wrap the child in heavy blankets.
