How long does cotton fever last?

A friend of mine was talking about 'cotton fever' and I've never heard of it before. He mentioned it's a type of reaction. How long does cotton fever usually last once it starts?

My priority is always safety when a high fever strikes. Cotton fever usually resolves quickly, within a day, but if the fever doesn't come down or if there is extreme weakness, you must see a doctor. Keep monitoring the temperature closely and ensure they stay hydrated.

Cotton fever usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours with some rest and warm fluids. However, if your temperature remains very high or you experience severe shaking chills, please do not rely on home remedies. Go to a hospital immediately as it can be a serious infection.

Cotton fever usually lasts 24 hours, but if you have diabetes like me, any sudden fever can spike your blood sugar levels significantly. Please monitor your glucose closely during this time and do not ignore it. Consult your physician if your readings go out of control.

Cotton fever is very scary but it usually goes away in 12 to 24 hours, ho na. Just rest completely and drink water. But if the shivering and high fever don't stop by the next day, then definitely doctor ke paas jana chahiye.

Hey, take a deep breath. This kind of fever usually peaks and clears up within 24 hours once the body processes it. Just lie down, sip some warm water, and try to sleep. If you still feel terrible tomorrow morning, we will go see a doctor, okay?

My mother always tells me to give the body rest when a sudden fever hits, and usually, cotton fever goes away within a day. However, since it involves pyrogens, it is always safest to consult a doctor if the fever crosses 102 degrees. Drink plenty of tender coconut water to stay hydrated.

Even if cotton fever is known to last only 24 hours, you should never ignore a sudden, high-grade fever. It can sometimes be a sign of a severe blood infection or sepsis. Please go get it checked by a medical professional for proper safety and blood tests.

Most of the time, this fever runs its course in just 12 to 24 hours! 🌟 Just keep a cool damp cloth on your forehead and drink plenty of fluids. You should be feeling much better very soon, so don't worry too much! 🌸
