How long does cold and fever last?

My little one, Riya, has been down with a cold and a slight fever for two days now, and she's so cranky. I'm worried it's going on for too long. Usually, her colds clear up quickly, but this one is really lingering. Is there a normal duration for these things?

Honestly, the worst of the cold and fever usually wraps up in 3 to 5 days. For me, the lingering weakness and slight runny nose drag on for a whole week. Just take proper rest and keep sipping warm water, it really helps speed things up.

Generally, a simple viral fever clears up in 3 days, and the cold symptoms start fading by day 5 or 7. If your fever stays high past 3 days or you feel breathless, please don't self-medicate and visit a doctor immediately. Keep checking your temperature regularly.

Expect to be out of action for at least 3 to 4 days, honestly. I try to work through it but it only makes it worse. Better to take 2 days of solid sick leave, sleep it off, and you'll be back on your feet much faster than dragging it out.

I used to panic the moment my fever crossed 100 and reached for antibiotics instantly. My doctor explained that viral colds take their own sweet time of 5-7 days to clear up. Just keep track of your symptoms and give your body some time to fight it off.

In my experience, the acute phase of cold and fever naturally subsides within 3 to 5 days. I usually practice gentle breathing like Anulom Vilom once the fever is gone to clear the nasal passages. Rest your body completely and avoid heavy food during this healing time.
