How long does cavity pain last?

I've had a bad toothache for the past two days, and I think it's a cavity. I've made an appointment with the dentist, but it's not for a few more days. How long does cavity pain usually last without treatment, or will it just keep getting worse?

Oh, cavity pain! I always thought it was just a sensitivity, but it can get really bad, right? I'm curious too, if you don't treat it, does the pain just stay forever, or does it come and go?

Amma used to say, 'Never ignore tooth pain!' Cavity pain might start mild, just sensitive to cold. But if not treated, it gets worse and can be constant. It will not stop on its own. You must see a dentist quickly, dear, before it becomes a bigger problem like an infection.

Cavity pain can unfortunately last as long as the cavity is present and irritating the nerve, or until the tooth structure gets severely damaged. It often comes and goes, especially with hot, cold, or sweet foods. It won't go away permanently without dental treatment. Track your symptoms, but a dentist is the only solution.

It's totally understandable to be worried about persistent pain! Cavity pain can be intermittent at first, triggered by certain foods or temperatures, but eventually, it can become constant and very severe if left untreated. It won't resolve on its own. Please go to a dentist to get relief and prevent it from getting worse.

Cavity pain won't resolve on its own. It might fluctuate, but it will essentially persist until you get dental treatment. The longer you wait, the worse it can get, potentially leading to more complex and expensive procedures. Prioritize a dental appointment; it's a small investment for long-term relief.

Cavity pain lasts until you get the cavity filled by a dentist. There's no magical home remedy or internet tip that will make it disappear. Don't waste time trying to find an easy way out. Just book an appointment with a proper dentist.
