How long does aleve reduce fever?

My little one has a fever and the doctor gave Aleve drops. It helps, but I'm trying to figure out how long before I might need to give another dose. The fever keeps coming back after some time.

Aleve can keep a fever down for up to 12 hours, which is much longer than other medicines. When my teenager had a viral fever, it really helped them sleep through the night without the temperature spiking again. Just make sure to give it with food.

The effect of this medicine generally lasts for about 8 to 12 hours. Please rest well, stay hydrated, and consult your doctor if the fever does not go away in two days.

Aleve, which is naproxen, is long-acting and typically reduces fever for 10 to 12 hours. It is highly effective for keeping the temperature stable, but don't take more than two tablets in 24 hours without asking your doctor.

My doctor told me that naproxen has a longer half-life, so it manages fever and pain for up to 12 hours. Because of this, you only need to take it twice a day, unlike paracetamol which wears off in 6 hours. Do check with your physician for the right dosage.

It keeps the fever down for around 12 hours. Along with the medicine, I always recommend drinking warm tulsi water and using a damp cloth on the forehead. If the fever is very high or doesn't drop, see a doctor immediately.
