I had a kidney biopsy done a few years back. The actual procedure itself, from when they start to when they finish taking the sample, usually takes about 15-30 minutes. But you'll be in the hospital for much longer for prep and post-procedure monitoring, maybe 4-6 hours total, or even overnight sometimes.
Hamare yahan ek rishtedar ne karwaya tha. Woh bata rahe the ki zyada der nahi lagti, aadhe ghante mein ho jaata hai. Par uske pehle aur baad mein aaram karna padta hai hospital mein thodi der.
Usually, the biopsy part is quick-quick! Around 15-30 minutes. 😊 But you gotta rest up before and after for a few hours, so the hospital visit might be a bit longer. Don't worry, it'll be over before you know it! ✨
The procedure itself is quick, maybe 20-30 minutes, but it's not always simple. I had some complications afterwards, so it required a longer hospital stay. It's really important to discuss all risks and recovery with your doctor beforehand and follow all their instructions meticulously.

From what I've heard, the actual biopsy part is pretty fast, like 20-30 mins max. But you have to factor in the prep time and then the recovery period lying still in the hospital for several hours to make sure everything is fine. So, plan for a good chunk of your day at the hospital.
