How long does a heart attack last?

My neighbor recently had a heart attack, and it was very sudden. I'm curious, for someone experiencing a heart attack, what's the typical duration of the actual event itself?

A heart attack isn't something that 'lasts' in a fixed time. It's a critical event where blood flow to the heart is blocked. Symptoms can be ongoing until medical intervention. If you suspect one, get to a hospital immediately, don't wait.

This is a really important question. I'm not sure about the exact duration, but I've heard every minute counts. So, if someone feels symptoms, they should call for help right away, right?

Ho na, heart attack ka koi fixed time nahi hota. Symptoms shuru hote hi hospital jaana chahiye, jitna jaldi ho sake. Har minute important hai usmein.

This isn't something you can put a time limit on. A heart attack means there's a serious blockage. Any symptoms like chest pain, breathlessness, or arm pain, you must get it checked by a doctor without delay. It's an emergency.

From my experience, a heart attack isn't like a headache that just passes. The pain and symptoms will continue until you get medical help to restore blood flow. My uncle had one, and he said the feeling was intense and didn't stop until he was in the hospital.
