How long does a fever typically last with the flu?

My entire family has been down with flu symptoms, and the fever is the worst part. I'm wondering if there's a typical timeframe for how long the fever specifically lasts when you have the flu. It's been 3 days now.

Oh, flu fever can be so rough! I always feel so scared when I get it. I've heard it can last 3-5 days, sometimes even a week. Did anyone else find it lasted longer for them, or am I just overthinking it?

With the flu, fever can last a bit longer than a common cold, usually 3-5 days. But if it's severe, or lasts longer than that, or comes back, you must see a doctor. Don't rely on random advice from WhatsApp groups, get proper medical consultation.

Flu fever can really knock you out, and it lasts longer, like 3-5 days sometimes. All I can think of during that time is wishing for some hot rasam or chicken soup to make me feel better. Hope you feel better soon!
