How long do you stay on dupixent for asthma?

My pulmonologist recently suggested Dupixent for my chronic asthma. I've been struggling for years and this seems promising, but I'm just wondering how long people usually stay on this medication. Is it a long-term treatment or just for a few months?

Dude, for Dupixent and asthma, it's usually long-term. My doc said it's not a quick fix, more like a continuous treatment to keep symptoms in check. I've been on it for a year now, and it's definitely helped a lot. Don't expect to stop it suddenly.

With asthma, especially if it's severe, treatments like Dupixent are often long-term to manage the condition. It's not like an antibiotic you take for a week. Every person's body is different, just like with PCOS, so what works for one might not be the same for another. Best to have a detailed chat with your doctor about your specific treatment plan and expectations, and always clarify any doubts.

Don't ignore your asthma, man. I did once and ended up in ER. For Dupixent, it's usually a long-term treatment as per what my friend's doctor told him. It's not something you take for a short period and then stop. Make sure you talk to your pulmonologist about your specific case, they will tell you the exact plan and how long you need to be on it.

Dupixent for asthma is typically a chronic treatment, meaning it's ongoing for an extended period, often years. It's meant to manage the inflammation and reduce attacks, not cure it. The duration is decided by your pulmonologist based on your response and symptom control. Don't discontinue without consulting your doc, it can worsen your condition.

Dupixent is generally for chronic asthma, so you might be on it for quite some time, often years. It helps keep the asthma under control. Practical advice: make sure you understand the injection process well and keep track of your doses. Also, discuss the costs with your doctor; it can be an expensive medication, so explore patient assistance programs if available.

Oh, this is a big question and I get why you'd ask. I always overthink medication duration. For Dupixent, from what I've read and heard, it's generally a long-term commitment for chronic severe asthma. It's designed to keep your symptoms controlled, so it's not like you just take it for a few months and stop. But your doctor will tailor the plan specifically for you, so trust their judgment.

I just started Dupixent for my severe asthma and I'm really hoping it works. My doctor mentioned it's a long-term thing, possibly for years. Does anyone else feel a bit overwhelmed thinking about being on medication for so long? I just want to breathe easily without constant worry.
