How long did yellow fever last?

I was reading an article about historical epidemics and Yellow Fever came up. I was wondering how long a typical outbreak of yellow fever would last, or how long an infected person would experience symptoms.

Yellow fever is a serious infection, and thankfully, we have vaccines for it now. Typically, the acute illness phase, if you get infected, lasts about 3-4 days. But in some severe cases, it can progress to a toxic phase with more serious symptoms for about a week, and sadly, can be fatal. It's why vaccinations are so important when traveling to at-risk areas.

Yellow fever is a viral infection, and its acute symptoms usually last for about 3 to 4 days. For people with existing conditions like diabetes, any infection can be more complicated. While the initial phase is short, if it progresses to a severe stage, it can last longer and be very serious. Always ensure good hygiene and proper food habits to boost immunity and prevent such diseases.

Thinking about diseases like yellow fever can be quite anxiety-inducing, I understand. The acute phase of yellow fever, with symptoms like fever and muscle pain, usually lasts for 3 to 4 days. However, in about 15% of cases, it can progress to a more severe 'toxic phase' which can last for about a week and is very dangerous. So it's not a long-drawn-out illness in its acute form, but the severe form is critical.

Yellow fever is a fast-acting disease. The initial symptoms usually last only about 3-4 days. For us fitness-conscious people, it's a reminder to stay healthy and boost immunity. If it progresses, the toxic phase can be deadly in a week. Good thing there's a vaccine! Regular exercise also helps maintain a strong immune system.

Yellow fever? Sounds like a bad case of 'I-shouldn't-have-eaten-that-street-food'! Kidding aside, the actual acute illness usually lasts only about 3 to 4 days. But if it gets serious, it can turn nasty real quick. So, definitely not something you want to experience, even for a few days!
