How long can you survive without a thyroid?

My sister has thyroid issues, and it made me wonder about the importance of this gland. Hypothetically speaking, if someone didn't have a thyroid, how long could they survive? Is it a critical organ for immediate survival?

Many people have their thyroid removed due to issues. You can live absolutely fine without it, but it means you must take medication for the rest of your life to replace the hormones. Don't try to manage without the prescribed pills or any home remedies for this; it's non-negotiable for survival and health.

I totally get why you're asking this, it can be scary to think about organs. But good news! You can actually live a completely normal lifespan without a thyroid gland, as long as you take your thyroid hormone replacement medication every single day. It's crucial for your body's functions.

Like diabetes, which needs constant management, a missing thyroid also requires daily medication. Without a thyroid, you absolutely need to take synthetic thyroid hormones. If you don't, your body's metabolism will slow down dramatically, leading to serious health issues and eventually, it can be fatal. So, yes, you can survive, but only with medication.

Haan, thyroid gland ke bina bhi log normal life jeete hain, na koi dikkat nahi aati. Bas roz apni tablet leni padti hai. Woh body ke hormones ko balance karti hai. Agar woh nahi loge toh fir problem ho sakti hai. So, daily dose is a must!

Without a thyroid? You'd be living life in slow motion, like a perpetual Monday morning! Jokes aside, yes, you can totally survive, and even thrive, but only if you diligently take your daily thyroid meds. That little pill is your new best friend for metabolism!
