How long can you live with stage 4 prostate cancer?

My father's reports came back, and it's stage 4 prostate cancer. This is very concerning for our whole family. We want to be prepared, so how long can a person expect to live with this type of cancer?

Okay, stage 4 sounds super scary, but prostate cancer, even at this stage, sometimes responds well to treatments! My neighbor's uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 and is still doing alright after a few years with medication. It's all about the right treatment plan. Stay hopeful! ✨

Bhai, stage 4 prostate cancer is serious, haan. But I've heard from people here in our town that with good doctors and regular medicines, some men live for many years. It is important to go to the city doctors and follow their advice fully. Don't lose heart, God is great.

My urologist colleague explained that for stage 4 prostate cancer, especially if hormone-sensitive, hormone therapy combined with chemotherapy or new generation anti-androgens can extend life significantly. It's a chronic condition that can often be managed for several years. Regular PSA monitoring and imaging are key to tracking response.

Life's journey is in God's hands, but we must also strive our best. Even with stage 4 prostate cancer, maintaining a positive spirit and diligently following medical treatments can make a big difference to how one lives. Take care of your soul and your body, trust in the divine plan, and do not lose hope.

Even with stage 4 prostate cancer, staying active with light walks or doctor-approved exercises can improve overall well-being and help manage side effects from treatment. It won't cure it, but maintaining strength and energy definitely contributes to a better quality of life and potentially longer, more comfortable years. Consult your doctor first, always.
