How long can you live with half a liver?

My brother had a partial liver removal due to some issue. He's recovering now. I was wondering if it affects life expectancy. How long can someone live with only half a liver?

Hey, I actually donated a part of my liver to my uncle two years back. The liver is like the only organ that grows back to its full size in just a few months. I am back to living my normal life, working out, and feeling perfectly fine.

Haan bhai, tension mat lo. The liver has amazing regeneration power, you can live a completely normal and long life even after a transplant or donation. Bas doctor ki advice follow karna and healthy khana khana, sab badhiya hoga.

You can live a very long, healthy life because of how the liver regenerates. Once your doctor gives you the green light, start adding light daily walks and basic physical activity to your routine. It keeps your circulation great and speeds up recovery.

Living with any hormonal or organ adjustment means keeping a close watch on your body. Much like how I monitor my thyroid levels, you should stay in touch with your specialist and do regular blood tests to make sure the liver is functioning optimally.

My family doctor explained that during a liver resection or donation, taking out up to sixty percent is quite safe. The remaining liver starts regenerating immediately and reaches normal size within six to eight weeks. If there is no underlying disease, life expectancy remains completely unaffected.

Managing any major organ change requires serious lifestyle discipline, just like I do for my high blood pressure. You can live a full life, but you must get regular checkups, monitor your liver enzymes, and strictly avoid salty or oily junk foods.
