How long can you live with bladder cancer?

My friend's mother was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. We are all trying to support her. I wanted to know, generally, what is the life expectancy for someone with bladder cancer?

I totally get how scary a cancer diagnosis is for the entire family. But bladder cancer is actually highly treatable, and if caught early, survival rates are excellent, with most patients living completely normal lives.

Beta, always follow the oncologist's treatment strictly. Drinking plenty of water and barley water can help keep the urinary tract clean, but please do not rely on home remedies for treating cancer. Early medical care is vital.

Bladder cancer has a high chance of recurrence, so you have to be very diligent with follow-up cystoscopies. My father had a recurrence because we skipped a checkup. Please stay in constant touch with your urologist.

Eating fresh berries and green leafy vegetables supports overall bladder health during recovery. But if you see blood in the urine, please do not wait at home. Go see a specialist immediately.

My dad was diagnosed with early bladder cancer three years ago. They removed the tumor minorly and he has been completely fine since then. Just get it checked early and don't panic.

Honestly, keeping up with my uncle's hospital visits has kept me up past midnight for weeks. But the good news is that bladder cancer is super manageable if caught early, so sleep easy and get the treatment started!
