I totally get it, managing both diabetes and dialysis can feel incredibly exhausting and heavy. Many patients live comfortably for 5 to 10 years, and sometimes even longer, if their sugar is kept strictly under control. Please stay strong and lean on your family for support during this tough phase.

I cannot offer medical advice, but my uncle has been on dialysis for diabetic kidney disease for the last six years. He has faced ups and downs, but keeping a close watch on his daily fluid intake and blood sugar has kept him going. His nephrologist adjusts his schedule based on regular blood reports.

Please don't fall for fake online ads promising to reverse kidney failure or cure dialysis with some magic herbs. When you have diabetes, dialysis is a life-saving medical necessity. Stick strictly to the treatment plan prescribed by your nephrologist and verified hospital staff.

Let's be realistic: managing both diabetes and dialysis is tough but highly doable. While average survival is around 3 to 10 years, many disciplined patients beat those odds by strictly monitoring their diet and sugar levels. Focus on quality of life and follow your doctor's protocols without skipping sessions.

As someone managing high BP, I know how critical it is to protect the kidneys from further damage. With diabetes and dialysis, keeping blood pressure and blood sugar absolutely stable is the only way to prolong life. Regular checkups and adjusting dialysis settings with your doctor are extremely vital.

Even on dialysis with diabetes, staying slightly active can make a massive difference in your longevity. If the doctor permits, light walking for 15-20 minutes on non-dialysis days keeps circulation good and helps manage blood sugar levels. Keep a positive mindset and move your body gently.
