How long can you have breast cancer without knowing?

My aunt recently found out she has breast cancer, and she said she hadn't noticed any major symptoms until it was already stage 2. This is scary. How long can breast cancer go undetected in someone?

From what I have researched and discussed with doctors, breast cancer can sometimes grow slowly for several years before a lump becomes large enough to feel. This is why regular mammograms and self-exams are so critical. Early-stage changes often don't cause any pain or visible symptoms at all.

Between work and family, women in our homes rarely find time for health checkups, which is risky. A slow-growing tumor can sit undetected for 2 to 5 years before it is felt. Please encourage the women in your family to block just one hour a year for a preventive mammogram scan.

Our bodies are very sensitive, but sometimes very slow changes like these can go unnoticed for years. While a peaceful mind and deep breathing keep our overall energy good, we must also rely on modern medical screening. Doing regular self-examinations gently at home is a very good habit to start.

I made the mistake of ignoring a tiny, painless lump for almost a year, thinking it was just a harmless cyst. By the time I went to the doctor, it had progressed, and the treatment was much harder. Please do not wait or ignore even the smallest change in your breasts; get a scan immediately.

It can honestly take years for a tiny cancerous cell cluster to grow into a noticeable lump. You won't feel sick or have any pain in the initial stages. Stop relying on luck and book a mammogram or ultrasound if you are over 40 or have a family history.

I am quite young and I don't know much about this, but reading these comments makes me a bit worried. Is it possible to have this even if there is absolutely no pain at all? Should someone of my age also go for checkups or is it only for older women?
