How long can u last without sleep?

I've been struggling with insomnia for a few weeks now because of some stress. I usually get only 3-4 hours of sleep. I'm wondering what's the maximum limit a human body can handle without any sleep at all.

Most people can last about 36 to 48 hours before their body completely gives up. Please don't push yourself too hard and try to get some rest today.

I get so anxious when I can't sleep for even one night, thinking it will ruin my heart health or brain cells. Actually, our bodies are strong enough to handle a day or two of bad sleep, but it still feels terrible. Hope you manage to get some peaceful rest tonight.

You might survive a couple of days, but you'll feel like a total zombie! 🧟‍♂️ Put that phone down, switch off the lights, and let your body recharge properly tonight.

You might survive 2-3 days without sleep, but your digestion will completely crash. Skipping sleep spikes acidity and messes with your appetite. Try having a light dinner of warm milk and khichdi to help your body relax.

I was reading that after 72 hours of no sleep, people actually start having vivid hallucinations and lose track of reality. It's crazy how fast the brain degrades without rest. Better not to test these limits at all.

Going without sleep for more than 24 hours just ruins your next work day completely. If you are struggling to sleep, try washing your feet with cool water and switching off the fan or AC to a comfortable temperature. Simple things work best.

After 24 hours of no sleep, my heart starts racing and I get so anxious. Does anyone else feel that weird physical panic in their chest when they stay up too late? It's such an unsettling feeling.

With my PCOS, missing even one night of sleep completely messes up my hormones and makes me feel bloated and exhausted. The body might survive a few days, but the internal hormonal balance takes weeks to recover. It's really not worth the risk.

The body can hold on for a couple of days, but the weakness is hard to shake off. We always used to put a drop of warm ghee on our temples to calm the mind for sleep. Try it, and make sure you eat a very light dinner.

You can last 2-3 days, but it is very bad for your health. Drinking warm chamomile tea or badam milk before bed can help soothe your mind naturally. But if you have gone days without any sleep, please see a doctor immediately.

Practically speaking, your cognitive skills drop to near-zero after 36 hours. If you are working night shifts, try to take at least 20-minute power naps to keep your brain functioning safely. Don't push beyond 24 hours if you can avoid it.

While you can technically last a few days, severe sleep deprivation can trigger underlying neurological or heart issues. If you are experiencing chronic insomnia, please get it checked by a doctor instead of trying to pull through.
