How long can post stroke fatigue last?

My father had a stroke a few months ago, and even though he's recovering well, he still feels extremely tired all the time. His doctor called it 'post-stroke fatigue.' How long can this post-stroke fatigue usually last? We are getting concerned.

It can last for several months or even a year after the stroke. Just be patient with them, don't force them to be active too quickly, and let their brain heal at its own pace.

Fatigue can linger for months. When managing high BP, it's very important to keep their lifestyle simple, ensure they sleep well, and do regular doctor checkups to monitor progress.

Yes, it easily takes 6 to 12 months for the severe fatigue to reduce. Please make sure they get plenty of rest during the day.

It is a very slow recovery process and can go on for many months. We found that breaking their daily routine into very small tasks with frequent breaks helped manage the energy levels best.

Haan, this fatigue can go on for months, na. The brain takes a lot of time to recover after such a big shock, so we just have to support them patiently.

My father is experiencing this and sleeps almost 14 hours a day now. Is this level of extreme tiredness normal even three months after the stroke?
