How long can heartburn pain last?

I had a really spicy meal last night and now I have this burning sensation in my chest. I think it's heartburn. How long does this kind of pain usually stick around?

For me, mild heartburn usually clears up in a few minutes or maybe an hour if I drink cold milk. But sometimes it can stretch to a few hours if I had a heavy dinner. Keep smiling, it usually passes soon! 😊

Mine lasted for almost four hours yesterday and I got so scared. Does this happen to anyone else where it feels like it just wont go away no matter what you drink? I feel so restless when it strikes.

Honestly, it depends on what you ate. It usually goes away in an hour or two, but don't lie down immediately after eating as that makes it worse. Try sitting upright or taking a short slow walk in the room.

Everyone on the internet will give you different timelines, but please don't rely on random comments. If your chest pain or burning lasts long or keeps coming back, only a proper doctor can tell you what is causing it.

Heartburn can last from a few minutes to hours, but please be careful. Sometimes what we think is acidity can be something serious with the heart, especially if there is tightness. Please get it checked by a doc just to be safe.

Usually, it shouldn't last more than an hour if you do some light walking around the house. Just don't do any heavy exercise or bending exercises when your chest is burning. Give your digestion some time to work.

It usually settles down in an hour or two after taking some water or antacid. Rest well and try to keep your head elevated a bit. Hope you feel better soon.

Arey don't stress too much, it usually goes away within a couple of hours. Just avoid sleeping flat right after eating and have some cold milk or water. If it still troubles you tomorrow, just consult a doctor, cool?

If I eat very oily dinner or spicy chole, the burning stays for 2-3 hours easily. I have started eating a light, fiber-rich dinner before 8 PM and it has helped so much. Avoid raw onions and citrus fruits at night.

In my experience, mild acid reflux subsides in about 30 to 60 minutes if you sit calmly in Vajrasana after meals. Deep, gentle breathing also helps calm the stomach nerves, but don't force anything if the pain is sharp.

I was just reading about this yesterday because my dad had it. Apparently, normal acid reflux can last up to two hours after a meal. It's crazy how common this is, but we rarely know the exact causes.

Haan na, sometimes this acidity is so annoying, it keeps burning for 2 hours straight. Gharguti upay like a spoon of saunf helps sometimes, but if it remains for too long, then doc to dikhana padega.
