How long after vomiting can you eat?
I had a terrible stomach upset last night and kept throwing up. Now I'm feeling a bit better but starving. When is it okay to start eating again after vomiting?

Bro, don't rush to eat pizza or anything heavy right away. I usually wait for like 3 to 4 hours and just stick to simple khichdi or some toast. If your stomach feels okay after a few hours, start with very small portions.
Give your system a break of at least 4 hours before eating any solid food. Once the vomiting stops completely and your doctor says you are fine, you can eat a banana or some curd rice. I also prefer a very light stroll inside the house afterward to help with digestion.
I can't afford to lose a whole workday, so I try to recover fast. I wait about 2 to 3 hours, then eat a couple of dry biscuits or plain rice. Don't force yourself to have a full meal just because it is lunchtime, take it easy.
I totally get it, that weak feeling after vomiting makes you want to eat and get your energy back quickly. But please don't hurry. Wait for at least 4 hours and try some clear soup or coconut water first to see if your stomach can handle it.

After vomiting, I generally keep a fast for 4-5 hours. Then I take a tiny bit of ginger tea or warm water with a pinch of black salt. But if you are throwing up again and again and have a fever, please see a doctor immediately.
