How long after vaccines is fever normal?

My daughter got her routine vaccination yesterday, and she has a mild fever now. My mother-in-law says it's normal, but I want to know how many days after vaccines is it considered normal for a fever to persist?

I had a fever for almost 36 hours after my booster shot last month. The doctor told me anything up to 48 hours is absolutely normal. It went away on its own after some solid rest.

Usually, the fever is normal for about 1 to 2 days max. If it goes past 48 hours or is super high, then you should definitely talk to your doctor.

Beta, a mild fever for 24 to 48 hours is normal as the body is adjusting. Drink warm water, rest under a light sheet, and do not worry too much. It will pass.

A fever is totally expected for 1 or 2 days after the shot. I just slept through most of my recovery day and felt totally back to normal by the third morning.

My fever lasted for almost 3 days and I was so scared. Did anyone else have a vaccine fever that went on for more than 48 hours, or is it strictly 2 days?

Your immune system is just doing some heavy weightlifting inside! A fever for 1-2 days is just its way of working out. Grab some popcorn, lie down, and let it do its job.

Up to 2 days is normal, so don't run to get blood tests or pay for clinic visits immediately. Just keep a regular paracetamol tablet at home. If it lasts 4 days, then only plan a doctor visit to avoid extra costs.
