How long after starting thyroid medication will i lose weight?

I started thyroid medication a few months ago, hoping it would help with my weight gain. I haven't seen much change yet, which is a bit disappointing. How long after starting thyroid medication do people typically begin to see weight loss, if at all?

Hey, don't stress too much about the weight right away. The medication takes about 4 to 6 weeks to balance your hormones first. Once your metabolism gets back on track, you will slowly start seeing a difference, just give it some time!

Look, the pill is not a magic weight-loss drug. It will stabilize your thyroid levels in 1 to 2 months, which helps your metabolism. But you still have to put in the effort with your diet and physical activity to actually lose weight.

I can only share what happened to me, but I started noticing a slight drop in my weight after about two months of taking my thyroxine regularly. My constant fatigue also got much better around that time.

It takes about 4 to 8 weeks for your hormone levels to correct. I also have blood pressure issues, so I know how important lifestyle is. You must couple your thyroid meds with regular doctor checkups and low-salt, healthy eating to see real weight results.

The medicine balances your internal thyroid fire, which takes about 6 to 8 weeks. Along with the medication, practicing daily Kapalbhati and Ujjayi pranayama will gently stimulate your thyroid gland and help manage your weight naturally.
