How long after shoveling heart attack?

My neighbour, he's around my age, recently had a heart attack after doing some heavy shovelling in his garden. It got me thinking, how long after such strenuous activity is a person most at risk for a heart attack? I also do some gardening, so I'm a bit concerned.

Any heavy physical strain can affect the heart if one is not careful. Stay positive, keep your breathing steady, and never push your body beyond its limits. Take care of your health and rest immediately if you feel tired.

Listen, don't stress too much, but heavy physical work like shoveling or lifting heavy loads can strain the heart, sometimes even hours after you finish. If you feel any weird chest pressure or back pain, just stop everything and take rest.

Look, heart issues don't always give a long warning. If you did heavy physical labor and start feeling chest pain, sweating, or breathlessness within a few hours, don't sit around waiting. Get to a hospital immediately.

Honestly, sudden heavy exertion is a well-known trigger for heart issues, sometimes showing symptoms within minutes or up to a couple of hours. If there is chest tightness, left arm pain, or severe breathlessness, please call an ambulance right away. Do not take it lightly.

Heavy lifting on a heavy stomach is a bad idea anyway. Strain can trigger heart issues quickly or a few hours later. Better to eat light, avoid oily stuff before hard work, and chill if your chest feels tight.

A cardiac event due to extreme physical exertion can occur during the activity or within 24 hours afterward. If you or anyone else experiences chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, or jaw pain, please go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not wait.

My husband ignored mild chest heaviness after heavy physical work, thinking it was just gas, and it turned out to be a mild attack. Please, if you feel any discomfort, pain, or unusual sweating after heavy exertion, get checked by a doctor immediately.

I agree, cardiac strain can happen immediately or even a few hours after intense physical exertion. It is best to avoid sudden heavy lifting if you aren't used to it.

My uncle had a major scare after doing heavy lifting in the garden. He started feeling dizzy and sweating heavily about an hour later. We rushed him to the hospital, so please don't ignore these sudden symptoms.

I panicked so much when my father had chest tightness after clearing heavy boxes, but thank God it was just severe muscle strain. Still, we got an ECG done at the clinic just to be 100% sure. It is always better to get that peace of mind.
