Honestly, I was so scared when my tooth was still hurting on day 3, I thought the dentist did a bad job. But then it slowly faded away by day 5. The soreness is totally normal because of all the drilling, so just give it a few days.
Usually, the acute soreness lasts for about 3 to 4 days. You can expect a dull discomfort when you bite down for up to a week. Just avoid chewing hard foods from that side of the mouth for a few days.
I was reading up on this because my brother has one scheduled next week. Apparently, some mild throbbing and sensitivity to hot/cold for 3-5 days is very standard while the surrounding tissues heal. It shouldn't be sharp pain though.
Plan for about 2-3 days of mild discomfort. I took my prescribed painkillers and was able to work without issues the next day. If the pain is unbearable after day 4, just call your dentist to check if the temporary filling is high.
Your jaw might feel like it went a round with Mike Tyson for 3 days, but it goes away! Just stick to ice cream and khichdi for a bit. It is a great excuse to skip chewing hard stuff anyway.
The soreness takes around 3 days to go down. Doing gentle warm water salt rinses 3-4 times a day really helps soothe the gums and reduces the swelling naturally. Try it, it works wonders.
Normally it shouldn't last more than 4-5 days. I once ignored severe pain after a root canal thinking it was normal, but it turned out to be an infection that got worse. If the pain is increasing instead of decreasing, get it checked immediately.

Hey, don't stress too much! The nerve is gone, so that deep throbbing pain should be gone too. The tenderness around the gum is just from the procedure and will settle in 2 to 3 days. Eat some cold dahi and relax!
Yaar, for me it was sensitive for like 4 days, especially when I drank cold water. I just used the other side of my mouth to eat. It gets completely normal after a week, so don't sweat it.
It usually takes just 3 to 5 days to feel completely normal again! Just take your medications on time and you will be smiling and eating your favourite foods in no time.
