How long after a fever are you not contagious?

My son had a fever due to a viral infection, but it broke yesterday. I'm trying to figure out when it's safe for him to play with other kids without spreading anything. After a fever, how long is it typically until a person is no longer contagious?

You are typically safe to interact with others 24 hours after the fever breaks naturally. Once the doctor says it is fine, I usually start with light evening walks to get my strength back. Don't jump straight into heavy workouts right away.

Please do not rely on random online timelines because different viral infections have different contagious periods. Call your family doctor and confirm when it is safe for you to end isolation. It is the only sensible way to handle this.

Usually, after 24 to 48 hours of no fever, you are fine and not contagious. This is also a good time to save on extra clinic fees and tests if you are already feeling completely healthy. Just monitor your temperature at home with a basic thermometer.

Beta, wait for two full days after the heat leaves your body before going near others, especially children. Keep drinking warm tulsi water to completely flush out the remaining weakness from your system. Take proper rest.

You are considered safe and non-contagious once you have been fever-free for a full 24 hours without any fever-reducing meds. Just stick to this timeline before heading back to the office or meeting friends. It is simple science.

Actually yaar, the standard rule is to wait for at least 24 hours without taking any Crocin or medicine. If your temperature stays normal naturally during this time, you are good to go out. Just don't push yourself too hard initially.
