How likely is it to get throat cancer from hpv?

My friend mentioned that HPV can cause throat cancer and now I'm a bit concerned. I've always thought HPV was more related to other types of cancer. How common is it to get throat cancer from HPV?

Don't ignore persistent throat irritation or difficulty swallowing like I once did with my health issues. While HPV is common, only a tiny percentage of infections lead to throat cancer. Still, if you have any lingering symptoms, please get a professional checkup immediately.

Yes, it is very rare for HPV to cause throat cancer, as most infections clear up on their own. Get a doctor's opinion if you are highly concerned.

Honestly, catching HPV is very common, but getting throat cancer from it is like winning a lottery you never bought. Don't let Dr. Google scare you into writing your will. Just ask an ENT doctor and relax!

I know how terrifying it is to connect virus infections to cancer in your head. The anxiety is real, but medically, the risk of HPV turning into throat cancer is extremely low. Talking to a doctor helped me calm my fears completely.
