How latent tb is caused?
My brother recently had a TB scare, and the doctor mentioned latent TB. I'm trying to understand how someone gets it without showing symptoms. What are the main causes or ways that latent TB is acquired?

Latent TB tab hota hai jab aap TB ke bacteria ke sampark mein aate hain par aapka immune system use daba deta hai. Isme koi symptoms nahi hote par bacteria body mein rehta hai. Maine iske liye 6 mahine course kiya tha taaki yeh active na ho jaye, isliye test zaroor karwayein.
Bacteria body ke andar shant rehta hai jab tak hamari immunity strong hoti hai. Achhi diet aur haldi doodh se immunity toh badhti hai, par latent TB ke liye doctor se milkar sahi dawa lena sabse zaroori hai. Isko halke mein nahi lena chahiye.
It basically happens when you breathe in the TB bacteria, but your body's immune system successfully fights it off and keeps it sleeping inside you. Since it's not active, you don't feel sick or spread it. But it's good to get a doctor's advice on whether you need preventive medicine.
It is caused when you inhale the bacteria but your immunity keeps it inactive. Definitely consult a doc for the right test.
From what I understand, latent TB is just the bacteria staying inactive in the body because of our immune defense. I always suggest talking to a doctor to run a skin or blood test, as they can explain the risk factors much better than online articles.
Think of latent TB as the bacteria sleeping in your system. You get infected by inhaling droplets from an active TB patient, but your immune system locks it down. It is not contagious in this stage, but you must consult a doctor to see if preventive therapy is needed.
It happens when the Mycobacterium tuberculosis enters the body but is walled off by your immune system, keeping it dormant. My health app has a section on this; it's super common in India. Keep your immunity high, but do get a Mantoux test if a doctor advises.
