How is vestibular migraine diagnosed?

I've been having strange dizzy spells and headaches lately, and my doctor mentioned something about vestibular migraine. It's a new term for me. What are the common methods or tests used to diagnose vestibular migraine?

Hey, dealing with dizziness and balance issues can be really scary, but please don't worry. A vestibular migraine is usually diagnosed by a neurologist or an ENT specialist based on your medical history and by ruling out other ear problems. Just describe all your symptoms clearly to the doctor.

My head spins just from sleeping only 3 hours, but vestibular migraine is next level vertigo. There is actually no single scan or blood test for it, so doctors diagnose it by listening to your history of dizziness and headaches. Go see a specialist and explain your symptoms instead of guessing at 2 AM.

If the room is spinning but you haven't had any drinks, it might be a vestibular migraine! Joking aside, doctors diagnose this by hearing your symptoms and testing your eye movements. It is a bit of a process, but a good neurologist will figure it out quickly.

My mother suggested drinking ginger tea for the nausea and dizziness, but we must get a scientific diagnosis first. A neurologist will diagnose vestibular migraine by reviewing your symptoms and conducting hearing and balance tests. Please consult a doctor for a proper plan.

Vestibular migraine is diagnosed by looking at your pattern of vertigo episodes alongside headache triggers. While working on your balance through specific exercises can help, getting a clinical diagnosis from a neurologist is key. Avoid sudden movements and drink plenty of water.

I ignored my balance issues thinking it was just weakness, and it led to severe falls. Vestibular migraine is diagnosed strictly by a neurologist through physical balance tests and ruling out inner ear infections or brain issues. Please get a proper medical consultation done immediately.

I went to a top multi-specialty hospital for my vertigo issues. They ran physical balance tests and an MRI just to rule out other things, and then the neurologist diagnosed vestibular migraine. Ask your doctor clearly about the criteria they use so you understand the treatment plan.
