How is malaria passed?
My neighbour's kid recently had malaria, and it made me quite concerned. I'm just wondering how malaria is usually passed on to people?

Honestly, it is only through female Anopheles mosquito bites. They breed in dirty stagnant water near houses, so make sure there is no water logging. Just normal physical contact or sharing food doesn't spread it at all.
These mosquitoes have some personal enmity with us, I swear. They bite an infected person and then happily pass that parasite to you when they bite you next. Best is to use good old mosquito coils and nets, unless you want a free trip to the clinic.
From what I have read, it is strictly through infected mosquito bites, not by sitting next to someone who has it. My immunity is already low due to hormonal issues so I always keep a mosquito repellant roll-on in my purse. Better to be safe and use nets.
Haan na, it is only spread by those tiny mosquitoes breeding in local drains. Casual contact is perfectly fine, so no need to isolate anyone who has malaria. Bas ghar pe cleanliness rakho and use nets to sleep peacefully.
My sleep is already ruined by these buzzing monsters, and knowing they carry malaria makes it worse. It is purely mosquito-borne, so don't worry about catching it from your family members talking to you. Just hunt down the mosquitoes in your room first.
Just recovered from this last month, actually. Got it because of water collecting in our society garden coolers. It doesn't spread through air or touch, but please protect yourself from getting bitten by using good sprays.
It spreads when a mosquito transfers the parasite into your blood, nothing to do with food or touch. Keep your fitness up to recover faster if you ever catch it, but prevention is key. Clear out any open water around your workout spaces.
