It is transmitted by the bite of the Aedes mosquito. When I had it, I realized how important it is to clear out water from coolers and flower pots weekly to prevent them from breeding.
Dengue spreads through mosquito bites. Maintaining a clean lifestyle, using repellents, and going for a quick blood checkup if you get a sudden fever is the best way to handle it.
My physician explained that the Aedes aegypti mosquito becomes infected when it feeds on a person with the virus, and then transmits it to others. It is not contagious between humans directly.
Remember, dengue only spreads through the bite of an infected mosquito. Keep your kids protected with full-sleeve clothes and nets during the daytime when these mosquitoes are most active.
I totally get it, hearing about dengue cases nearby makes everyone extremely worried. It only transmits through mosquito bites, so focusing on repellents and screen windows will really help protect your family.
