How is dengue diagnosed?

Last monsoon, a few people in my society got dengue. It made me wonder about testing. If someone suspects they have it, how is dengue diagnosed by doctors?

Dengue is diagnosed through specific blood tests like NS1 antigen or IgM antibody tests. Please avoid taking sugary juices or coconut water excessively if you have diabetes, and get a proper medical checkup to monitor platelet counts.

The NS1 blood test for dengue is quite affordable at local government labs or standard diagnostic centers, usually costing around 500-800 rupees. It is better to plan and get it done early rather than spending more on emergency hospital admission later.

In my experience, many people panic when they get a fever, but a simple blood test called Dengue NS1 confirms it easily. Rest well, drink plenty of water, and keep a close eye on the platelet counts as advised by your doctor.

A reliable laboratory blood test is the only scientific way to confirm dengue. While resting the body and gentle breathing help with recovery, you must follow the doctor's prescription and medical tests for monitoring your platelets.

You must get a blood test done to diagnose dengue, as symptoms can mimic other viral fevers. Once diagnosed, focus on easily digestible vegetarian foods like khichdi and papaya leaf extract under a doctor's guidance, while avoiding heavy foods.

I had dengue last year and the doctor ordered an NS1 antigen test on the second day of fever. My advice is to keep getting your CBC (complete blood count) checked daily if the doctor asks, to closely monitor your platelet levels.

Haan bhai, fever aate hi do-teen din mein blood test karwa lena chahiye, NS1 aur CBC test se clear pata chal jata hai. Ghar pe baith ke wait mat karo, doctor se consult karo na.
