How high fever for adults?

I've been feeling feverish for two days, and the temperature is a bit high. I'm confused about what's considered normal or worrying for adults. How high is considered a high fever for adults?

Usually for adults, anything above 100.4 F is a fever. Don't try to sweat it out with a workout or run, trust me. Just rest completely and only do light walking around the room once your doctor confirms your temperature has stabilized.

In my sixty years, I have seen so many seasons of viral flu. A fever of 100 or 101 is quite common and usually goes away with rest and simple fluids. Just keep an eye, if it touches 103, then you must consult your family physician.

Listen, don't stress too much about a mild 100-degree warmth. Just take a paracetamol, tuck yourself in, and watch your favorite show. If it doesn't drop or crosses 102, then we will think about visiting the clinic, okay?

I totally get it, lying in bed with a hot forehead and shivering makes you feel so helpless. For adults, 101-102 is moderate but if it starts crawling towards 103, it is time to check in with a doctor. Take care of yourself.

Hamare yahan toh doctor babu kehte hain ki agar sharir 101 se jada garam ho toh dawai leni chahiye. Aap thoda sa dhyan rakhein, khichdi khayein aur jaldi hi kisi pass ke doctor ko dikha lein agar badhne lage.

I completely understand how scary it is to watch the thermometer scale go up, it makes the heart race. For adults, 102 is quite high and you should definitely consult a doctor to put your mind at ease.

Bro, my fever went up to 103 during dengue last year and it felt like my bones were breaking. Normal viral usually stays around 100-101. If it crosses 102, just get your blood tests done instead of guessing.

Any fever above 101 in an adult that persists for more than 48 hours needs professional evaluation. It is never wise to self-medicate for long periods without knowing the root cause.

Yes, 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit is the standard threshold. Just make sure to monitor it every four hours using a digital thermometer.

Anything above 100.4 F is technically a fever for us adults. Please take ample rest and keep sipping warm water.

Last month my fever hit 101.5 and I panicked, thinking it was some major infection. Honestly, the doctor said it's just the body's normal way of fighting the virus. It came down in two days with basic medicines, so keep calm.

Haan na, adults think they can bear anything and they ignore minor fever. Actually 100.4 se upar fever start hota hai. If it touches 102, don't ignore it, doc ko dikha lo quietly.
