How fast does pancreatic cancer grow?

My father's friend was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and it sounds like a very aggressive type. Our family is quite worried for them. How fast does pancreatic cancer generally grow?

I had a complete panic attack when my routine ultrasound showed a shadow on my pancreas, and I thought it was a fast-growing tumor. It turned out to be just a harmless cyst that doesn't need treatment. Please don't jump to the worst conclusions before getting proper doctor's tests.

It is generally known to grow and spread relatively quickly, often within a few months. Please take care and consult a specialist for accurate guidance.

My father went through this journey very recently. Some pancreatic tumors can progress quite rapidly, sometimes over a few months, which is why early detection through scans is so critical. Please seek oncological advice immediately if there are symptoms.

As someone managing diabetes, I know the pancreas is very delicate. Since pancreatic cancer can grow steadily over some months, any sudden change in your blood sugar levels or unexplained weight loss needs immediate medical investigation.

I know how terrifying it is to search for this online, the anxiety can make you feel physically sick. While it can be a fast-progressing condition over several months, reading scary articles won't help. Please talk to a doctor to get a realistic perspective.

I went through so much emotional trauma when my close relative was diagnosed, because we learned it can grow and spread within months. It is an incredibly hard thing to face, and your fear is completely valid. Please lean on family and specialists during this time.

I agree that pancreatic cancer is known to grow fast, often changing stages in just a few months. Getting an immediate CT scan or MRI is the most important step.
