How fast can ovarian cancer develop?

My friend's mother was just diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and it progressed very quickly. It's a bit scary. I want to know, how fast can ovarian cancer develop? Is it usually silent until it's advanced?

From my own diagnosis journey, I learned that some epithelial ovarian cancers can develop and spread within a year, often presenting as vague bloating. Don't ignore persistent bloating or pelvic pressure for more than 2-3 weeks. Get a pelvic ultrasound and a CA-125 test done as recommended by an oncologist.

At our age, every gas pain feels like a major health crisis, but some ovarian cancers can indeed develop fairly rapidly, within months. I used to blame everything on menopausal weight gain, but it's always safer to let a gynecologist poke around rather than assuming it's just slow digestion.

It is so hard emotionally when you realize how fast it can happen—sometimes within just a year. I remember feeling so angry that my body didn't give me louder warning signs before it progressed. If you are feeling anxious or noticing changes, your feelings are completely valid, please go get an ultrasound.

I totally get it, worrying about these silent illnesses can feel incredibly overwhelming and scary. Some types of ovarian tumors can grow within a few months, which is why we must never ignore changes in our bodies. Please book a doctor's visit to talk through your concerns and stay safe.

While some types can develop relatively quickly, many ovarian changes are benign. Try to stay calm and take things one step at a time. A gentle consult with your doctor and a routine ultrasound will give you the most accurate answers.

Drinking ginger water and keeping a healthy gut is very good for everyday digestion, but it cannot cure or stop internal growths. Ovarian changes can sometimes happen in less than a year. If you feel any hard lump or persistent abdominal discomfort, please see a gynecologist immediately.

My aunt had this, and the doctor told us it can sometimes develop over a year with very quiet symptoms that people mistake for normal food bloating or acidity. So if you find yourself constantly bloated even after eating light, simple home-cooked meals, go get a checkup instead of just popping antacids.
